I'm kicking 2009 in the nuts!

So long 2009, Hello 2010.

I can’t help but feel rather festive this year…. Why cause 2009 has been a C*$t of a year and I am ready to chill the fuck out with family and friends!

I realised it was a hectic year when I was talking to one of my friends yesterday that I have not spoken to since mid September.
When he asked me what I have been doing I told him my toilet roll list of shit that has happened in the last 3 months.
He finished the conversation by saying “Holy crap emz, I don’t talk to you for 3 months and your life totally changes”.

It is true……

For me I can say the following has happened:

Broke up with Ex
Moved from Melbourne back to Sydney.
Moved in with my parents.
Started Sydney job.
Met my boyfriend.
Moved from my parents to place in Alexandria.
Went on a trip to Melbourne
Sold my car
Sent my son (dog) off to live with another family
Got head-hunted
Had my birthday
Got fucked over by work.
Visited parents in Lismore
Started job at place was head hunted by
Got screwed by flat mates that was living with on bond.
Moved in with boyfriend
Moved our stuff out of our houses (2 houses into studio apartment over 3 weeks in evenings and weekends in a VAN.)
Met Cheech, Kimberley, Sarah, Mookie and the crew.
Helped out the COP girls with photo shoot by sharing my sneaks.
Enrolled into university
The company I was headhunted by changed the goal posts of the business.
Got offered a “casual” sales job
Decided I never wanted to be in recruitment again.
Quit job in recruitment.
Started “casual sales job”
Started uni
Started a second job in retail.
Juggling time between both jobs and uni!!! NUTS

There was lots of shopping, daily drinking of ciders, facebooking, blogging and eating in between….

Along with all of that my boyfriend has done just as much since May….

So I would like to bid farewell to 2009 as it has been a prick of a year and welcome 2010 with open arms.

It couldn’t be more stressful than this year (knock on wood / fingers crossed)!!!

So the discussion started

So the other day when Cheech and I were talking about things from our childhood. These things consisted from random 80's and 90's accessories and clothing items such as cross color jeans, lycra crop tops, scruntchies, tube socks and finally Hypercolor shirts (including clothing)...

The conversation honed on into Hypercolor and the range they produced.

Shirts, in all kinds of cool colours, shorts, singlets, crop tops and underwear. Yep you heard it right underwear.

I couldn't help but throw in an Emma type of joke along the lines of, "Oh I swear its not a skiddy on them undies its just my hypercolor".

Great concept yes, lots of science behind them with the whole thermochromic pigmentation and all.

The thing that was kinda weird was the whole sweaty pits thing, I mean if you were sweating up a storm everyone knew cause your pink shirt had green arm pits.

So props 1991 for bringing out a mood ring-esk type of shirt!

LOVE

Cider & Stelth iPhone photo styles

I am sure you all know by now I have a weakness for cider and normally I would say the only place to be is somewhere that has it on tap. NOT ANYMORE!!!

Due to the heat I figured I deserved to be waited on hand and foot for dinner and the only way that was happening is if I ate at the pub! So I went to a very underrated little bar in Surry Hills / Redfern I will call it "Shit hole dive hotel" just to keep it in its barren little state. Sorry!!!
So back to "Shit hole dive hotel"...

I ordered dinner which was... umm how to explain it.. average.
I also asked them what they had in the way of cider... Mr bar guy started to tell me about the types of Strongbow they had in the fridge and finally at the end came out with the goods... "and Magners".

"Sweet I will have a Magners thanks!!!"

He placed the Magners long neck on the counter and asked me if I wanted a glass and ice with that. I didnt....

PROOF!!!

In true bogan style I sat in the pub grinning ear to ear getting happier by the minute drinking long necks of Magners. (Holy shit I could so do product placement for them)...

As time went along and boyfriend approached i got my iPhone out and stelthed the place.
Here are my pics.

1: MEGA bowl cut on a man

2: World worst jean pin roll... WHY?

Feeling Festive!

Today was the finishing day for all christmas shopping and boyfriend birthday shopping (Yes, I am proud of myself).

So after finishing that I was feeling rather festive and decided to make my own wrapping paper.

Here is a step by step on how I made my very O.G. Xmas wrap.

Step one:
Shop for the following

1 x Potato
1 x roll of brown paper
1 x red paint
1 x green paint

Step 1:
Get Potato - from here you will need to think up some shapes. I went for a traditional tree and a star.

Step 2:
Cut your shapes out.

Step 3:
Potato stamp away.

Step 4:
Finished product!!!
